Skids - Dosing

What is a Dosing skid?

A chemical dosing skid is a specialized type of process skid designed to store, mix, and accurately inject chemicals into a process line or system. These are widely used in water treatment, oil & gas, and chemical industries to control parameters like pH, corrosion, scaling, or microbial growth.

It’s a pre-engineered modular unit containing all the equipment required to meter and inject precise quantities of chemicals into a system (like pipelines, cooling towers, or water treatment lines).

Advantages
Application

A typical chemical dosing skid includes:

  • Chemical storage tank – holds the chemical solution.
  • Dosing pump(s) – injects the chemical at a controlled rate (diaphragm or metering type).
  • Calibration column – verifies pump accuracy and allows manual calibration.
  • Agitator (optional) – keeps the chemical solution homogeneous.
  • Piping and valves – direct the chemical flow safely.
  • Pressure relief valve – ensures overpressure protection.
  • Instrumentation – flowmeters, level sensors, pressure gauges.
  • Control panel (PLC) – for automation, alarms, and integration with plant SCADA.
  • Base skid – robust steel frame holding the entire assembly.
  • Factory-tested and ready for installation
  • Accurate, consistent chemical injection
  • Reduces manual handling of chemicals
  • Easy maintenance and mobility
  • Integrates with process control systems
  • Water and wastewater treatment (chlorine, alum, antiscalant dosing)
  • Oil & gas (corrosion inhibitor, demulsifier, biocide injection)
  • Cooling towers (pH control, anti-fouling dosing)
  • Chemical process plants (precise reagent or catalyst dosing)
