- It automatically switches to the secondary source (Bank B).

A Priority Panel is an automatic control panel used in systems where multiple gas sources, pumps, or compressors supply a common line — to control which source operates first (priority) and ensure uninterrupted supply when one source becomes empty or fails.
It’s commonly used in medical gas systems, industrial gas distribution, and dual gas bank setups.
A Priority Panel (also called a changeover panel or automatic manifold control panel) is an intelligent switching system that automatically selects, monitors, and switches between primary and secondary gas sources to maintain continuous and stable output pressure.
Main Components
A typical Priority Panel includes:
- Inlet connections – from two (or more) gas sources (e.g., cylinders, tanks, compressors).
- Pressure regulators – reduce each source to a stable working pressure.
- Non-return valves – prevent backflow between sources.
- Pressure gauges / transmitters – monitor source and outlet pressures.
- Solenoid valves or selector valves – control gas flow from the selected source.
- Control system (PLC or electronic module) – decides which source to use and when to switch.
- Alarm indicators – visual/audible alerts for low pressure or source changeover.
- Outlet connection – delivers stable pressure to the downstream system.
