Steam Tracing Solutions

Design, Supply & Commissioning

We provide end-to-end Steam Tracing Solutions designed to maintain process temperature, prevent freezing, and ensure smooth fluid flow across pipelines and equipment. Our expertise covers complete design, material supply, installation, and commissioning, tailored to suit diverse industrial applications.

How It Works
Advantages
Application
  • Steam flows from the steam header into the tracer tubes.
  • The tracer is attached (or wrapped) around the process pipe.
  • Heat from the steam is transferred through the pipe wall to the process fluid.
  • The steam condenses as it releases heat.
  • The condensate is drained via a steam trap and sent back to the condensate return system.
  • Provides uniform and reliable heating.
  • Simple and cost-effective.
  • Easy to install and maintain.
  • Uses existing plant steam supply.
  • Prevents pipe blockages due to freezing or thickening.
  • Oil & Gas industry – keeps crude oil and heavy fuel oils from solidifying.
  • Chemical & Petrochemical plants – maintains reaction temperatures in pipelines.
  • Food & Beverage industry – prevents freezing in outdoor lines.
  • Power plants – for condensate and feedwater lines.
  • Pharmaceuticals – temperature maintenance for chemical feed lines.

Our Capabilities Include:

  • Custom System Design: Detailed engineering and layout of steam tracing circuits optimized for heat balance, efficiency, and safety.
  • Material Supply & Fabrication: Sourcing of high-quality tracing tubes, manifolds, valves, fittings, and insulation materials.
  • Installation & Integration: Skilled installation of tracing lines, condensate recovery systems, and temperature control assemblies.
  • Testing & Commissioning: Comprehensive testing, pressure checks, and performance validation to ensure system reliability.
  • Energy Optimization: Systems designed for minimal steam loss, improved condensate drainage, and long-term operational efficiency.

Our solutions ensure stable process temperatures, enhanced productivity, and reduced maintenance costs — all delivered through a single, dependable source.

Main Components

  1. Steam Supply Header – main source of steam for the tracing network.
  2. Steam Tracer Tubes – small-diameter tubes (usually 3/8″ or 1/2″) carrying steam alongside process pipes.
  3. Thermal Conductive Tape or Paste – improves heat transfer between the tracer and process pipe.
  4. Insulation & Cladding – prevents heat loss and protects against condensation.
  5. Steam Trap – removes condensate (condensed steam) from the tracer line to maintain heating efficiency.
  6. Condensate Return Line – collects and returns condensate to the boiler system.
  7. Control Valves – regulate steam flow to maintain desired pipe temperatures.

Disadvantages

  • Can cause overheating if not controlled properly.
  • Requires steam trap maintenance to prevent waterlogging.
  • Energy losses if insulation is poor.
